Julie, a lifelong resident, is deeply committed to improving our community. She studied business in Toronto and worked as an international flight attendant for Air Canada and Emirates Airlines. After gaining global experience, she pursued further Marketing and Public Relations studies in Dubai, UAE, before opening her own business in Halifax in 2017. Now a wife and mother, her diverse background and strong local roots fuel her dedication to making our hometown a better, more prosperous place for everyone.

By implementing rezoning decisions, Julie will ensure that international organizations do not influence or undermine our local governance and community values. Rezoning proposals will strictly adhere to local development plans, reflecting the needs and interests of our community without external interference. This approach protects our zoning practices, keeping control with local authorities and residents while preserving our governance and autonomy. Julie will oppose the UN Agenda 2030 and keep the community informed of any related discussions. The solution to globalism is localism.
Encampments should never be permitted in our community. Addressing this issue requires a balanced approach that provides stable housing solutions and comprehensive social services. By implementing outreach programs and enhancing access to mental health and addiction support, we can help individuals transition into permanent housing and effectively meet their needs. Encampments are not the solution, and if elected, Julie will ensure the encampment at the Canada Games Centre is removed.
It's time for targeted economic growth policies to boost prosperity and enhance the quality of life in our district. By investing in infrastructure projects, supporting innovative ventures, and fostering a thriving business environment, we can attract new businesses and entrepreneurs. With Bayer's Lake Industrial Park as a key asset, our district offers boundless opportunities. Our goal is to stimulate the economy, reduce taxes, and improve living standards for our community. Additionally, we must put an end to wasteful spending.
To fix Halifax's transit system, we need to invest in comprehensive solutions. Expanding rail and light rail networks and enhancing ferry services will improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and provide sustainable transportation options. By integrating these modes, we will create a more efficient, accessible, and eco-friendly transit infrastructure, benefiting residents and supporting the city’s growth and development.
Julie will no longer tolerate the presence of potholes in our community; our sidewalks and infrastructure must be improved. Well-maintained sidewalks and prompt pothole repairs are crucial for both safety and quality of life. By investing in infrastructure upgrades, we can improve the overall condition of our community, making it safer and more welcoming for all residents.
Crime is on the rise in Halifax, and we cannot let this trend continue. The soft-on-crime approach fails to support businesses, and with our growing population, a strong, unified police force is essential to protect our community. We must modernize our policing services with innovative and effective solutions.
